On the doorstep of pristine Clifton 3rd beach, accessible through a private gate, this home enjoys arguably one of Cape Town’s best locations. An open-plan upper level – with large well-equipped kitchen and separate scullery – allow for seamless cooking and entertaining. Unique for this area is the spacious outdoor area – with numerous spaces to eat and relax. Laid-back shaded spaces to enjoy alfresco meals flow seamlessly from the kitchen. Screened from view by vegetation, the private pool area (accompanied by eight sun loungers) is the perfect spot to cool off after a day at the beach or read.
The upper level comprises the main suite with expansive sea views, and the lower level houses two further bedrooms and bathrooms, tastefully furnished, all with American shutter doors for easy outdoor access and optimal security. Great indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces allows for a seamless flow between areas. Despite being in one of the most desired suburbs of Cape Town, palm trees cocoon you in, giving a feeling of seclusion. In addition, to the direct beach access, there is a large swimming pool. Feel a part of the Clifton community with early morning chats with the other residents, as you amble along the beaches. Making new friends with the regular swimmers and picnickers. People watching is considered a cathartic past-time.
The Glen Country Club is a spectacular place to go and whack a ball around the court, for all tennis enthusiasts. You’ll need to arrange the booking prior to play, but the courts are only a short walk away from the bungalow and deliver the most spectacular views of the mountain and
ocean.
A leisurely brunch on one of the decks that goes on for hours, turning into early afternoon when it’s time for another dip. An evening cycle or run along the esplanade that meanders the curves of the Atlantic Seaboard. A quick steam in the main en suite shower before that evening tipple on the deck, with the sun beginning to set and the fish baking in butter, lemon and dill on the braai.
